We begin the day with a tour of Old San Juan. This wonderfully diverse neighborhood features historic and architectural treasures that make the district quite distinct from any other place in the world. You’ll find an abundance of colorful buildings, historic sites, lively plazas, parks, promenades, gardens, museums, shops and tree-shaded cafes and restaurants. Later in the day we visit Casa Bacardi, the largest rum distillery in the world and take a trolley tour of its interactive history exhibit as well as enjoy the gorgeous views of El Morro from the waterfront pavilion. And, of course, you’ll sample a handcrafted Bacardi cocktail. The rest of the day is at leisure to do as you please. Remember: average daily temperatures are 71° – 84°; relax at the hotel’s lovely pool complex or secluded beach, browse the lushly landscaped grounds or visit Paseo Caribe. Your choices for dinner are many whether in the hotel, at Paseo Caribe or in one of Old San Juan’s great restaurants.
